Designers / Makers present over 700 products by 75 UK based Design and Craft practitioners in our first Christmas Shop!
A collective of UK Designers and Craft practitioners brought together for a short time only in an exciting and atmospheric boutique amidst the restaurants, cafes, street food stalls and shops along the bustling Exmouth Market.
Designers / Makers supports buying handmade and is giving you the opportunity to find those unique and delightful Christmas presents, and/or that little something special for yourself!
Covering all disciplines; fashion, ceramics, heritage crafts, jewellery, contemporary home-wares, and lighting there will be something to suit all tastes and budgets.
This winter wonderland will hint on alpine chic with its timber display units by East London Furniture - demonstrating stunning carpentry using up cycled palettes. And it’s beautiful Blooming benches positioned outside on fine days for pre or post shopping with your hot coffee or delicious lunch from one of the nearby eateries. As well as this there will be a Christmas Tree Sledge adorning the interior (crafted from last year’s trees!), both by designer Tom Hatfield. The interior’s monotone colour palette will allow the products on sale to come alive, their bright and exciting colours, shapes, pattern and form will give a magic to the space.
As the dark night’s set in the shop will glow, enticing and inviting you in. The weekly Thursday late night opening - until 9pm (other days until 7pm) will offer festive home-baked edibles and warming drinks to tempt and seduce you to shop further! Under one roof, discover the plethora of makers working across Britain, making wonderful hand crafted pieces all involving expert practice and skill.
Go and visit, be inspired, and enjoy stress-free shopping!
