50p building

Its Mr Tobyboo's birthday next month and what with being so poor and all I decided to make him his very own Tobyboo - well it's his second because he's got a boo-bot t shirt. I've been going on for ages that I'd try and do an embroidery of this 70's building that's right in the centre of Croydon (right by where we live....oh the joy!) The NLA tower, 50p buliding, No. 1 Croydon - call it what you like, this is what it looks like.... (well on a t shirt that is)

Don't care how, I want it now!!!

For all you Veruca Salts out there, oh so many of you.....the answer to all your Easter dreams. A golden egg filled with goodies. Now I can't provide the goodies but I can the egg, and Ludvig is trying to crack his way out so you need to get it soon.
Very proud of my Easter creation - put an end to over packaged eggs and get this and fill it instead. I've only made 2 and they've just been listed on Etsy and on Folksy and Misi for you dollar scared folk (and I mean the currency not the band - we're all scared of them!)

1 becomes 2

Not the cleverist thing I've made - Toby's giant woodland sack - so big that I couldn't carry it so this week I decided to slice the thing in two. I think you'll agree it was a wise as the owl on it move.....

a mother of a day

So, Sunday 22nd is almost here - a day where some mothers take it all too personally if they don't get that card and present. Tobyboo is here to help! I've just listed some top prints from Peter and Jane books that I think say it all......both framed prints are on Etsy and Misi and I can race it to any mother for Saturday if you ask nicely.

Tobyboo has launched into baby blankets.......Hugaboos! The first was a tree bark blankie for the lovely Jessica who is due a sister to Noah any day now. More unique Hugaboos on the way, just don't expect pink or blue!

Turn Back the Clock

I'm so over the moon that Fisher Price have re-issued some classic toys. The Two Tune TV and Teaching Clock were two of my absolute favourites (and now Toby's!) - altogether now, "row, row, row your boat........"

A Breek from the Norm

This weeks laugh at what Tina's bought is a pair of tweed breeks.
Now for those of you that don't shoot defenceless animals breeks are pretty much knickerbockers, but knickerbockers were easy and cheap to get in Tammy Girl in 1979.

I'd been trying to get this pair on Ebay with no joy, but did manage to some other nice ones on a more successful Ebay day. So, they haven't been worn yet partly because I've no idea if I've got the right things to wear on my feet and also because I don't want to be laughed in Croydon. And to any deer in south London, don't panic you have nothing to fear from me......

Not just for Peter

I'm very excited at the moment, only days away till my next Styleshake dress will wing its way into my Narnia wardrobe of Peter Pan collars. This will be dress number 5 from those tailor mice who work so hard to bring my dreams to life.
I waited about four years to get my top that Anya wore in season 6 of Buffy - Mr Tobyboo contacted the wardrobe people that worked on the show, hunted like mad online and in shops all to shut me up about the thing - the closest he got was a lovely but not very comfortable red jumper with cream round collar.....yes it is nice but its not my Anya top! Enough on the top! (ah but I got it eventually and it's such a nice top - they did make it especially for me)

So, the latest in the not very imaginative world of Tina round collars (if one more person asks if I'm just wearing the same thing......) is this little number
You won't find a picture of me on this thing, no sir so you can have the odd woman they show you wearing your paper doll type outfits. Obviously I don't want to give you the link to my dirty little secret - go find it yourself, quite honestly I don't want to live in a world where the curved collars are everywhere - sharpen yours up!
